Worship Songs and Men

Matt Redman makes an excellent point in this brief interview.How often I have set in Church and heard absolutely horrid worship songs that you cannot tell if the song is about the Lord or a girlfriend.Worship leaders and songwriters need to become more steeped in doctrine and the grand truths of scripture.

I'm not saying all the old songs are great but the great hymns of the past that have stood the test of time are richer,deeper and need to be rediscovered by our youth. Plus they are more manly .

Verse Of The Day  :     Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name;
                                worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness.
                                                                                               (Psalm 29:2 ESV)

I love the Brits term "bloke". As it is a perfect description of my husband. You're not just a bloke Hon', but the blokiest of blokes. Despite teasing Jake about how pretty he is, both our sons are blokes, as well. Sometimes I look over and see some eye rolls from you and the boys. I get it. I'm a girly girl who has a wide streak of bloke in her. I think it's from all the testosterone dripping off the walls in this all male household. Between you guys and my brother and all your guy friends... So I must say even I sometimes cringe. Great interview. Love you, Mrs Reg
