Are You Thankful for All Things

Its so easy to be thankful and praise God when money flows, the body is full of health and success seems to be running on your street, But what occurs when disease upsets the body , when you fail and fall , receiving the discipline of the Lord or your job is gone .Can you cry out to God and thank Him for bringing both a loving Fathers hand to discipline you or a trial to sharpen you?

If we cling only to this earth ,then we will not be able to grasp the bigger picture . God will use whatever He ordains for His glory and for the best for His sheep. But lets be honest ,it is hard to fathom at times. We cannot see beyond the forest , but God knows what lies beyond . Even when we are left speechless, may we trust in Him who is trustworthy.

Verse Of The Day  :                                                                                                                                                      And have you forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons?
“My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord,
nor be weary when reproved by him.
For the Lord disciplines the one he loves,
and chastises every son whom he receives.”
It is for discipline that you have to endure. God is treating you as sons. For what son is there whom his   father does not discipline?
                                         (Hebrews 12:5,6-7 ESV)

When things are going well, it's easy to delude ourselves that it is our success. That we're going through life with our little positive thinking cap on and so we are a success. Sometimes we think, if we're really feeling pious, that God has blessed us because we're doing everything right. Whereas, our poor slob of a neighbour just needs to have more faith.
It is when you go through trials that you realize that everything comes from the Lord. you hear the sound of His voice through His Holy scriptures, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."
If God wasn't disciplining me I should be very worried. After all, as today's verse says, He only disciplines those He loves. Blessed be the name of the Lord. Love you, Mrs Reg
