How Blessed We Are
This song by Mercy Me reminded me of how precious the word of God is. How spoiled we are to be able to go to countless stores and purchase numerous translations in our own language. Look around at your Church this coming Sunday and see how many brought their Bible. There are people in countries who treasure the Word. Do we ?
In history saints have died to preach the word faithfully, to translate it in the common language and to possess it. Its sad and tragic that so many even within our Churches do not believe the Bible is the very word of God.This even gets worse with those under 30 . Wonder how they would stand in the day of persecution? If you don't treasure something , then usually you will not be willing to die for it.
Verse Of The Day : [8] The grass withers, the flower fades,
but the word of our God will stand forever.
(Isaiah 40:8 ESV)

I love this song. It's makes you stop and think about where all wisdom and knowledge comes from. It's not from human being's wicked heart, but from God. It amazes me that people think the Bible is not truly inspired by Him.
Let's face it, we're far too wicked and self absorbed to ever come up with "Love thy neighbour as thy self" let alone "You shall have no other gods before me". We break those every day. I'd have made it much easier. Something like, "Thou shalt not wear ugly shoes" and "Thous shalt drink coffee every day".
I'm far too unrighteous to ever come up with the sacrificial love that we're to mirror from what we read of Christ's life. That proves that it is God breathed or inspired. May we realize what a precious gift from Him that we've been given. We've been given a glimpse of our Holy God. Love you, Mrs Reg
