So Bad , So Bad

Nothing profound to reflect on today , unless its a crime to make a movie so bad that in truth , all involved should be charged for wasting good film. I guess at the very least it gave some employment. The movie I'm thinking about is Jaws:The Revenge .

Now I truly believe the first Jaws is one of the best movies of all time. It had suspense, great acting, cool camera work and it made me jump out of my seat. It was one of the first true event movies. Still recall waiting in line with my cousin Greg and childhood friend Jim, in Wolfville at the Acadia Cinema . The theater was packed . For 2 hours it took us on a thrilling ride. Needless to say it was boxoffice phenomena . I. still recall at the end of the movie having left more popcorn on th floor from jumping and Greg having squeezed his Nibs into a blob of goo. Fun time.

Needless to say success always breeds a sequel and so out came Jaws 2 . Decent movie taken on its own but not as good as the original. Once again it was fairly successful and then we had Jaws 3D . A laugh out loud film . But no it didn't stop there . Oh it should have but then the topper of horrible came with Jaws :The Revenge. A movie so bad that the rubber shark should sue the cast for being the best actor in the film .

Why I wasted time watching this waste of time is beyond me. But if you ever want a good laugh , check this piece of rotten fish out. No question one of the worst films of all time. So in my minds eye there  are really only 2 Jaws films. The other 2 exist only in an alternative reality . Now if we could just burn those films .

I come out to the computer and see one of your deeper Christian books by the computer. Wow, Reg must be having an intense philosophical and spiritual moment. "I wonder what the subject is?" I'm thinking, "Oh, gonna' be a deep one this morning."
I log on and what do I see, the Jaws image. Uhhh, maybe it's about the evilness of sin. Then, I read it. "I got up at 5:30 am, for this?"
OK, this is my take on the subject. When the film came out, I never saw it. Mind you, being a trophy wife, makes me much younger than you. So, I was way too young to see it. In the entertainment industry, three years is a long time.
That being said, I remember going to a slumber party and one of the girls there had seen it. My friend told me that she was going to tell us about the movie when her parents weren't around. Yup, I went to some pretty wild parties, when I was a kid.
I didn't know the girl and I don't remember her name. But, I remember being scared to death when she told us about the movie. She was a very good story teller, too. Yup, you guessed it, she was the coolest girl at the party.
I'm not sure if I've ever seen Jaws or I just think I did because she told us about it. I've not seen a lot of horror flicks, way too vivid an imagination.
That being said, "The Shining" scared me to death. Probably when my "then" boyfriend's brother jumped out and screamed boo, at the most scary moment, didn't help.
I remember watching Evil Dead with you and Rick. That one gave me the creeps. Was that the one with the scary and funny sequels? It was 25 years ago. Sorry if I'm wrong. You know, the one with the cabin in the woods. Yup, that narrows it down.
Must go read something deeper. Seriously, thanks for the lighter moment and for bringing back some memories. Love you, Mrs Reg
