Preacher Feature
Michael Horton is one of my favorite contemporary Theologians. He is engaging and writes in a style that can take a very deep and dense theological concept and make it make sense to everyone. I soon will begin working my way through his 1000 page systematic theology. Lots of tea and coffee will be used.

I'm having a bit of a chuckle. In the last couple of days, I was thinking to myself, "What is the exact definition of the word gospel?" I pinky swear.
You'd think the foundation of the Christian faith, would be known to me. It is, but not clearly defined. It's not that I didn't know, it's that I needed a clear definition.
There's a reason we must read, study and dive into the Word. Sometimes, in our enthusiasm, we like to take a Christian concept and throw at everything. Since the gospel is the very foundation of our faith lets use the word on everything. Oopsy.
Somethings we say and do are kind of well.. wrong. My personal favourite is Sunday mornings during prayer. "Oh Lord, we ask your spirit to be with us now." Think about it, our Lord said, "Whereever two or more are gathered in my name, there will I be also." Oopsy, again.
It's always important, when we're talking about the Holy God of the Universe that we be as accurate as our finite minds can manage. Love you, Mrs Reg
