Monday , A New Day Dawns

I always do some  thinking about the day after Easter weekend. The day and what happened after the risen Jesus was seen , talked to and for the next 40 days taught and was fellowshipped with Him. But even though it would be easy envy them , each day we open our Bibles to read and fellowship with God ,we do so as intimately as they did. In fact in many ways we have even a more amazing gift of having God's holy word that they didn't have.

When I open the word of God , I encounter Jesus Christ . Plus all believers are indwelt with the Holy Spirit who helps us take the word and apply it to our lives and enjoy intimacy with our Lord. The Word of God complete , one of the benefits of the day after . 

Verse Of The Day  :           This God—his way is perfect;
                                the word of the LORD proves true;
                             he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him.
                                             (Psalm 18:30 ESV)

It is a privilege to have the complete Canon. We do not have our Lord in the flesh but we have His Spirit indwelling within us. What a great honour for His chosen people. I can only imagine the smiles, and joy, on the disciples faces when they realized that our Lord had risen and was walking with them them. They were also, probably, relieved to know that the women (who saw Him first) weren't nuts. I know I'd be. No wonder they went out into the world with such fervour. May we do likewise, in our daily walk. Love you, Mrs Reg
