A Weighty Matter

If one writes in a blog then it is open for all . I have been complacent  with my weight for way too long. Its been something that for 20 years has just "been" there but as I near 50 I want to to be fit for fifty. I come from a long line of emotional eaters . When stressed , I would eat and before one knows it , the pounds , 60 plus to be exact , were added to my frame . So instead of running at a decent weight of 160-165  , I have been running 225 plus. Not good on my blood sugars or a myriad of other health related issues.

So my goal which I have jump started over the last month in a more serious fashion is to be fit and at 160-165 by the time I hit 50. The bottom line is the better shape one stays in one can be a better husband, friend and ultimately a more useful servant for the Lord.

So with only 2 months away from my 48th birthday , lets see what I will weigh in on my 48th and I will post it . In a large part , after seeing the dramatic change in one of my favourite apologist and theologians , Dr.James White really kick in to gear and shed almost 70 lbs , it made me go , I can do this and must .

So lets see what happens . Oh my wife has been more than kind to me over these years ( just though I would say that) but its time to reward her with a gladiators body . Well a let me dream ok.

Actually, it's been over 22 years, my dear. You got pregant with Jake a few months before I did and he'll be 22 in January, next year. Bearing in mind that you have fluctuated up and down, a few times.
You need to post your current weight, to the ounce. After all, you have lost some all ready and we must be accurate. I am so glad that you're taking your health seriously. I know that it's been a struggle for you and I'm very proud of you.
I know what you're thinking, dear readers, what a saintly wife. Nope, the only thing that makes me one of the Saints is the grace of God. I was actually quite surprised how much weight you have to lose. You wear it well, if that can be said. You don't have a "beer" gut.
I could go on and on and on.... but that would be a little embarrassing and T.M.I. to all the readers. Suffice it to say, a gladiator's body isn't that far out of the realm of possibilities. Love you, Mrs Reg
PS: Besides, didnt I marry you for your mind?
