Quote Sunday

"They gave our Master a crown of thorns. Why do we hope for a crown of roses?"  Martin Luther

Now, that makes you think. It should also make you humble, especially since the Lord took those thorns in our rightfully deserving place. People often say, "If there is a God, how come come He lets bad things happen to good people?"
The correct question to ask is, "How come God sent the only good person, who ever lived, to the Cross at Calvary?"
The answer to that question is found in Isaiah 53:4-6, "Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows;
yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace,
and with his stripes we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray;
we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all." Love you, Mrs Reg
